A Renov8 Summer

What a summer it has been! Student ministry is exciting in that summer ministry is very different from ministry during the school year. Whereas students are locked down to a Monday-Friday school schedule during the year, the summer allows for more freedom from week to week and the ability to do mission trips as well as go to summer camp. Both seasons are fruitful and necessary for the student’s growth as disciples.
This summer, we had the opportunity to take a group of students to serve alongside Sojourn Church in Portland, Oregon. This has become an annual trip for us, and it serves as a tool for our high school students to share their faith in a challenging culture and environment.
They boldly shared their faith in Jesus with the people of Portland and Vancouver, Washington. It is amazing to see students take the message of Jesus seriously and serve so passionately. This is where the Great Commission often moves from a good idea to a reality in their lives.

We also had the fantastic opportunity to take our students to camp at Falls Creek in Oklahoma. This week is always an absolute highlight of our year, and this year was no different. Many students placed their faith in Jesus this year, and others took the call to repent of their sin seriously.
God is doing something magnificent among today’s middle school and high school students. The passion that they have for Jesus, His church, and disciple making is awesome to see. Thanks to everyone who prayed for camp and to those who donated to help students experience this life change at Falls Creek. Your Kingdom investment is so appreciated!
