End of Summer

Last week we closed out the summer season with KidzFest at FBC Beaumont! Frank Aragon and his family led us in worship, and Extreme Obedience joined us to share the good news of Jesus powerfully. The kids had a blast eating pizza and playing on the inflatables as summer wrapped up. Now it's that time again: BACK TO SCHOOL, and that means Promotion Sunday and AWANA registration/kick off! We are excited for the new school year. That means a new year in our First Kidz Ministry on Sunday mornings and AWANA on Wednesday evenings.

On Sunday, August 9th, students will be promoted to their next class. There are class signs outside of every door and we will have volunteers in the hallway to help direct you to your next class. We have excellent teachers ready for a new year. Thank you to all the volunteers who serve each Sunday. Your ministry truly makes a difference in the lives of our children.

AWANA registration opens this week! Be sure to pre-register to get your supplies at kick-off! There will be games outside and the Bubble Blitzers are returning with bubble stations and snow cones! Remember, this is a “no drop off night”. There will be a parent meeting allowing us the opportunity to partner with our parents for the upcoming year. At this year’s meeting, there will be information on utilizing technology resources and a vision for the next year.

This year in AWANA, we need leaders in several of our club areas. From Puggles to TNT, leaders are needed in the classroom to listen to verses and guide our students through the night. Listeners are also needed to move from club-to-club working on verses. If you cannot serve during the AWANA club time, we need people to come early and do check-in from 6:00-6:30 each Wednesday. Our chair team is also looking for people to join their team and put chairs out in our auditorium following games, at around 7:40 each week. If there are many hands, the workload is much lighter. The opportunity to serve is abundant. I encourage you to begin praying now for the place you can serve!

Our First Kidz ministry is excited to serve our families this next year and partner with our parents, equipping you to disciple your children. It is an honor to equip our parents in disciple-making and to teach your children each week. It is going to be a great 2026-2027 school year!
